Safeguarding

At Shardlow Primary School the safety and wellbeing of our pupils is at the heart of all we do.

The thread of safeguarding runs through all policies and procedures and throughout our school day.

Mrs Houseman is the designated safeguarding lead in our school, Mrs Power is the safeguarding deputy. Mrs Anderson is the Governor responsible for safeguarding. Mrs Gillard is also trained as a safeguarding designated lead. All staff receive training and updates yearly and updates on a regular basis in staff training and are required to read and sign appropriate and statutory documents.

Safeguarding includes child protection, Health and safety and well being including anti bullying.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the health and safety of a child or process please contact the school office and arrange an appointment to see Mrs Houseman who will be more than happy to discuss this with you.
