School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office.
Shardlow Primary School admissions are dealt with by Derbyshire County Council. Applications are made online via Derbyshire County Council Website. If the year group applied for has spaces then your child will be offered a place. If your application is not successful you may go to appeal. Appeals are dealt with by an external non associated body. All appeals are dealt with individually.

Homework is used to support children's learning. Homework is given on a Friday and collected in on Wednesday. Teachers or assistants will endeavour to mark all homework handed in on time before books are sent out again.
Teachers may require children to stay in to complete their homework, homework handed in late may not be marked prior to the Friday.
